Most engineers who pass through two UK automotive plants come out thinking about their next role. I came out thinking about systems — what makes them hold, what makes them fail, and why the same principles apply whether you are managing an engineering change order or a client pipeline.
The factory floor is a specific teacher. You cannot defer a decision. You cannot blame ambiguity. A component either fits the tolerance or it does not. That kind of clarity rewires how you approach everything: you stop tolerating vague briefs, slow feedback loops, and processes that exist only because nobody questioned them.
When I came back to Pakistan, I also taught — primary to A-level — and that changed my perspective in a different direction. I saw how many capable people were running on the wrong information about what was possible for them. Access to clear thinking, honest feedback, and real-world frameworks matters enormously. It still does. That belief runs through how I operate the businesses: transparency over optics, frameworks over guesswork, real outcomes over impressive-sounding deliverables.
The six ventures are different industries but the same discipline. Each one was built because I could see a gap precisely — not because it looked like a good market. That is the difference between someone who builds to exit and someone who builds because they understand the problem well enough to actually solve it.
